North Sydney Oval ready for WBBL Grand Final – North Sydney Sun

The WBBL grand final comes to the 15,000 capacity North Sydney Oval for their decider on tomorrow night. The ground has become one of the most used WBBL venues, playing home to the Sydney Sixers and attracting 3 Sydney Thunder games, who usually play at Bankstown or Blacktown.

After finishing top of the table with an 11 win, 2 loss season the Sydney Sixers booked their place in the Grand Final early. They will be looking to claim their third WBBL title. They will face the Adelaide Strikers who beat the Brisbane Heat by six wickets in a semifinal tonight.

Led by national team superstars Ellyse Perry, Alyssa Healy and Ashleigh Gardner, the Sixers have been the form side of the 2022 competition from the start. Perry is third in runs made this season tallying up 375, while Gardner has been tearing up the competition with both the bat and ball, registering 23 wickets and 339 runs.

Not far behind the Sixers, Adelaide finished second on the ladder after a 8 win, 5 loss season. Sydney and Adelaide split this year’s matchups one a piece this season.

The Grand Final will start at 5:20PM with gates opening at 4:30PM. Tickets are $10 for adults. For those who can’t make it, the game will be live on Channel 7, Foxtel and Kayo.
